About the Department:

The Estates Directorate is responsible for the delivery of an estates strategy which covers asset management and replacement, refurbishment, projects, facilities operations, catering, hospitality and space management, including sustainability and energy management.

About the Role:

The Head of Hospitality Experience will manage a first-class, food and beverage function at SOAS, which will include student and staff food offer as well as delivering various themed events and conferences. The role holder will be responsible for delivering a seamless and excellent quality catering and hospitality service, ensuring sustained growth of turnover and net operating targets are met.

About you:

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Experience of successfully delivering an excellent customer-focused food and hospitality service, overseeing a consistently high level of service delivery is achieved across teams.

  • Experience in developing innovative solutions and contributing to strategic planning.

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to build robust and effective working relationships within and outside the School.

  • Knowledge of H&S, food hygiene and safety including HACCP and COSHH.
